7 facts about my childhood.
1. I spent most of my life on or around Sioux reservations in South Dakota. My hometown is Rosebud but I’ve been around other reservations.
2. I was a terror when I was younger. I always picked fights with people, mostly children and ladies that I thought were trying to be my mother. I also acquired a colorful vocabulary at a young age because I hung out with my older brother and his friends a lot. Of course, I didn’t know what half of the words meant at the time but I learned later. I’ve learned to keep my comments to myself since then I think.
3. I was convinced that one of dad’s friends was a witch. She liked me though and I called her Grandma Alexie. She’s not really my grandmother. She always smelt like cigarettes, was blind in her right eye, and she began having a hunch to her back and it only got worse as I grew older. I love that lady and she also taught me to speak some Lakota. Poor lady thought if I tried hard enough I could be Miss Indian World or something. I think she was a little delusional.
4. I learned to play guitar when I was about 5. I think that’s when my dad could tolerate my attitude enough to try and teach me how to play. I also know how to play flute and the drums.
5. We couldn’t really afford pets so when I was younger I used to collect caterpillars, spiders, and other bugs and keep them in jars. One of my dreams was to have a flea circus or a bee colony when I was older. I don’t have any of those yet.
6. I learned how to drive when I was 8. I was horrible at it because my feet couldn’t really reach the pedals and I couldn’t really see over the steering wheel. I also learned how to drive backwards thanks to my dad’s best friend Sherman. I’ve never been in a car accident when I was the one who was driving.
7. I started singing to help raise money for my family. My dad also noticed I had good aim and he had me play darts and pool for money, I didn’t start going to bars to sing and play until I was older though.
5 facts about my bestfriend(s).
I don’t really consider any of my few friends as my best friend so I’m pulling this stuff out of my antisocial ass.
1. I knew Henry since I was a little kid and we grew up together. He’s one of my brother’s best friends but last time I saw him he was being arrested for auto theft and robbery. He’s a dumbass but I still care about him.
2. James is my cousin but he’s also one of my best friends. He’s also one of my only married friends and I’m not sure how he’s going to do it. I could’ve been his best man if I stayed in South Dakota who cares if I’m a girl.
3. I couldn’t stand Claire when I was sober but as drinking buddies she was crazy. She’s also responsible for putting me in my first car accident. Fun times.
4. Rory is one of the people I trust the most at camp. She’s definitely different company than I’m used to, but it’s a good change.
5. I don’t have anyone else I can think of to put here. How lame is that?

22. Damn, this is kinda touchy subject. I really miss my dad. His name’s Herod Big Crow and he lives somewhere in South Dakota. I haven’t seen him since last April.
28. When I’m strong enough to handle the real world on my own with its monsters, I want to travel around the world and sing. I heard there’s rumor that I’m related to the Beatles so I might be related to music royalty which is completely sick. But I don’t have to be music royalty to be happy, man, I just want to perform.
